I bought my camera on a whim a year or two a go, second hand 550D, barely used type thing.
I'm going to Thailand in May and would obviously like to make some decent use from it. I'v been recommended a 17-50mm lens which would be a good all rounder and scenery taker. Any thoughts on this? I currently only have the standard lens for it.
I'm also looking at getting a bag for it, if I take it anywhere with me it just gets chucked into my backpack (Jansport) with everything else for the day included beside it.
I've seen a Lowepro Hatchback which seems to suit my needs- camera storage and personal storage for two people (bottles, scran, general thing of "chuck it in the bag")
Can this be secured with a lock somehow? I often put a wee combination lock on my current bag to help deter pickpockets. Or anybody with any other suggestions for a bag?
