my guitar has broke

bought a new one but was wondering if its possible to fix the old one for mates to use as a bass in Rock Band or something.

Made the mistake of using cheap poundland batteries which leaked, and one of the springs that make contact with the negative end of the batteries has vanished lol Ive cleaned up the leak but cant find the spring anywhere, its not fallen inside the body its just evaporated :eek:

is there anything I can use as a makeshift contact or anyway to run it from the mains?

thanks nanoman just tried that link but says I need to send the neck and receipt in and obviously I dont have the GT WT version of the guitar so cant do it

edit : it also never asked me for a serial number

i did my yoghurt pot and sticky back plastic thing

its not pretty but it works. this soldering malarky aint as easy as it looks is it
