Let down for Christmas!

I’m aware the customer service area is private and you can only see your own posts. But OCUK have let me down for my order placed 22/12/17 for delivery 24/12/17. Paying the extra nearly £20 for the privilidge (the joy of working in retail myself so limited time off this time of year)

Here’s what I posted so all can see. However I have omitted personal details

This is the second time I have used you guys and not had the date I paid a lot extra for met. This time specifically Sunday 24th due to working in retail and having only that day off.

This time I ordered my father a new case due to his pc being in bits on a motherboard box at the moment and him wanting a new open case. I called on the 22nd to confirm if I order can I get delivery this Sunday with it being Xmas eve and aware I will miss Saturday cut off... yes I was told. This was specifically at 17:28. I placed the order for his new case and paid the nearly £20 extra for Sunday delivery.....

All emails came through fine yet I just called dpd to see what time it’s coming.... they don’t have my parcel!!!!! Brilliant! So no Xmas present for my father now!!!! Thanks a bunch!!!!!!

Last time this happened I understood and all was fine. This time I’m fuming.

I know this is rant like but I’m bitterly upset and disappointed
 
What exactly are you hoping for here. Yes you have been let down but it could be for numerous reasons. You've already posted in the CS section which the staff will see and I'm sure they will do what they can under the circumstances.
 
Not hoping for anything other than making others aware as dpd state that they haven’t recieved the parcel from ocuk.

Also this is second time this has happened. The first time I made no fuss and was promptly resolved in all fairness to ocuk...

but to happen a second time and at Xmas is very disappointing
 
Yep that’s pretty much it. It’s not a huge problem and I’m sure ocuk will put it right as soon as they can, I appreciate there’s nothing they can do now.

I just reacted as it’s my fathers xmas present and was disappointed I guess
 
No it didn’t, but my dad dropping his previous case down the attic hatch did creep up on me!

Hmmm maybe a tempered glass case is also a bad idea :D
 
Maybe I did overreact. But you’ve got it ultralaser.

Now I’m not so irate I’m positive it will get sorted and it can just buy me some time to rebuild it for him :cool:

Sometimes you have to expect the unexpected. Things happen. OcUK may offer you a discount if you asked nicely as they couldn't deliver a service you paid for, on time. I've had luck with refunds from other retailers when they fail to provide a service I have paid for. In any case, it's not the best thing to repost what you've already posted elsewhere.

It's very likely DPD haven't received the parcel because they didn't bother turning up to collect it.

I think at the very least you should get refunded for the delivery charge, since the delivery wasn't met.
There's no thinking about it. Delivery charges will be refunded.

As I said, maybe I overreacted.

But to pay extra for specific date delivery. To call to confirm it will be done. Then to just “expect the unexpected” is not quite what I would expect to Do. I’m not slating overclockers and use them religiously. But to happen twice to the same customer (all be it last time was not xmas) isn’t great and at least I would have thought they would inform me it wasn’t collected for whatever reason it may be

But yes I’m sure the extra charge will be sorted

know would have taken less than a minute and been the service I would expect to be honest?

You may not like to expect the unexpected, even after paying more. But, the reality is, we live in a world that isn't perfect. So you are kinda forced to expect the unexpected. ;)

Yes true that my friend. Again, third time. I did over react. Just annoyed that’s all

Tbh I imagine they're run ragged and trying their best with everything they have on. I'm sure they'll succeed with the majority and can only try their best with everything else.
