Imagine for a minute you have no interest in gaming and yet still want a Desktop PC. Think back for the sake of arguing to 1996 to those big ugly towers. Now move forward 20 years to 2016 and what we have today? err! big ugly towers. Why can't the PC market come up with something that looks nice and performs well?

One of the reasons Apple does so well is that it tries to be different and dare I say it - looks good.

I know we have the SFF PC but towers just never seem to look any better. Not every one wants go faster stripes - neat clever and attractive design sells.

This.

There are plenty of small cases about to suit various wants and needs. Some are portable, some are themed, some are tiny, some even look like a fish tank. The majority though are made to suit a mass market, eg. ATX, drive bays, full size PSU etc which is why they look like they do.

I quite like some of the SFF cases from Corsair - much more attractive than your average tower and yet they appear to be well equipped and functional.

Anything made by Corsair is usually of a good standard. Have you checked the HTPC and Micro ITX cases section on the OcUK website as these offer quite a few SFF cases.

Bitfenix have good looking towers in terms if your looking for something more sleek, stylish etc. I'm not a big fan of the jet fighter type towers. Hense I have the 900D.

Like boss said many of the M-ATX cases look very good.

We had non-ugly non-towers back then and have non-ugly non-towers now. And now, not only do we have the ITX (mATX doesn't qualify as SFF) but also NUC form formats.

Hindsight is 20/20... I'm sure we'll be looking back in 20 years time at some of the cases around today that people think are amazing and wonder what the hell we were thinking!

I wish I had kept my unbranded beige case, it had window in it, 2 rear 80mm fans , 1 80mm at front, and 80mm in centre of side window, and the metal was wafer thin. knowing what I do know about building PCs, could have modded it to take 120mm fans, and sprayed it black.. never mind
