The copied The Hustle in the most American, spell-it-for-me-in-capital-letters and most cheesy way. Most of the characters were majorly mis-casted. Parker was supposed to be hot but blissfully unaware of her own hotness cat woman style robber. Instead the actress made the character into borderline retard with IQ of child and social skills of a Aspergers sufferer. Sophie, the alleged classy beauty grifter, was neither classy, nor beauty. It's a typical yankee misconception, you cast someone in their forties with British accent and it's immediately supposed to be charming milfy fox. I'm sorry, but Gina in her prime could barely pull the role of simpleton promiscuous bimbo in "Coupling" , let alone serve as a Jessica-Jane Clement of Portland, Oregon decade later. Then we have 5'8'' "hitter" pretending to be The Rock. And hacker who in addition to some of the worst tech nerdy talk in history of the television just could not act for toffee. Not that Christian Kane or Beth Riesgraf would get any achievement awards in that field either. Hutton just could not keep this show buoyant enough to survive.
It did badly on home market and extremely badly in international syndication. It needed much more talented actors and most of all - writers. Something that TNT rarely is able to provide for summer shows.
