Lexar RIP

I doubt it unless it performs better than the competition. That said, I bought my Lexar SDXc II card because it seem to be the best value 64G card on the market. Generally though, I always went for Sandisk.
I used to be in the sandisk or nothing camp but have bought lexar cards for a number of years now they were a solid brand and exceptional value for money.

Seems to be due to Micron making more money selling flash memory to Amazon and Google(apparently) and not anything due to them loosing money in the consumer side of the business AFAIK. I really hope for their sake that the bottom does not fall out of their market either,as if they ever try to start making consumer products again people might be a bit more wary now.

Although I always recommend their card readers and I own a few of their cards I usually buy Sandisk as I always felt confident that they would not let me down.

Having said that I never has any problem with Lexar and their cards were usually cheaper.

The irony is pretty much any branded memory card will work faultlessly you are ver very unlucky to have one fail. Sandisk just seem to have managed to spin up a mythical reputation for never having cards fail.
