You on Vista? because I noticed the first batch of drivers they released, things were somewhat broken and working.
After reinstalling Vista due to ATI's crappy 7.5 Vista drivers that was blue screening my system at start up everytime since installing those. I had to do a clean install to resolve it, even though the drivers were fully removed.
Anyway I had just downloaded Lexmark's drivers for my X1150 40 - 50 minutes ago, and things appear to be functioning. Scanner controls are no longer greyed out like before and have access to the All in one center, which use to be crashing in the past.

Lexmark's tech support is totally useless. I've had my fair share of dealing with them when it comes to drivers for Vista when they don't work.

the USB cable :
1. Go to Start, All Programs, Lexmark, Uninstall Lexmark.
2. Reboot the PC.
3. Go to Start, Control Panels, Printers and Faxes.
4. Go to File, Server Properties, Drivers.
5. If there are any Lexmark printer drivers, select them and click Remove.
