As title states looking for the above.

From my research the only option is the surface pro 3. Looked at the T100 and it looked too cheap. Havnt looked at the surface 3 yet - but heading to the states soon so can purchase one there if need be.

I see intel plans on releasing their new chip and the asus chi looks promising but not sure I could wait 7+ months for it~.

Any other choices? -

Depends entirely on your budget. If I was you and I had the money I would go for the Surface Pro 3. What sort of things will you be doing on it? Does it need any particular features?

Another point to mention is that the Surface Pro 3 is not really a "Laptop" as they are kind of difficult to use on your lap with the keyboard attached. Obviously it is held up by the kickstand and therefore has to be on a flat surface really.

Again, let us know what you'll be using it for and where and we can give better advice :)

Well mainly for my wife - she likes to shop :) and email etc ... but wed like something that you can drag the screen somewhere like on the train/plane etc and that will be light and easy to carry and last a decent time unconnected to power.

I can grab the surface 3 for a decent price in the states but think we'd need to see it first. Using a dell xps 13 atm and while its a pretty good ultrabook. We actually want something lighter then that and the idea of the detachable screen sounds interesting

Yeah I personally like the Surface product line a lot. And the touch screen keeps it nice and thin while giving you protection when not using it. I'd say that's your best option then. Obviously cant use it easily on your lap though.
