I'm planning to put a new build together come black friday and was looking to add a 27" to the list. At 27" is it worthwhile paying out the extra to get 4K, or would 2K be adequate for decent gaming?

My view is from about 3 feet away.

Yeah more than adequate but guess it also comes down to what card you are intending to get to drive the screen. 4k at decent frames generally needs a beasy gpu

Believe me, if I could fit it on the desk I 100% would! Currently have 27 inch ASUS ROG PG278QR which takes up a lot of space, but at the same time my desk is tiny and I've no room for a bigger one
