LG 29UM65 Flickering

Just connected one of these to my new system, Z97 with MSI R9 280X via HDMI with a fresh install of Win 8.1. Every so often the screen will flicker quite noticeably. Any ideas? I am sure this shouldn't happen but i guess it could be a setting on the 280X.
Any help appreciated.

Do you get the same if you connect a DVI cable?

Not sure.

But I wouldn't use HDMI cable as it doesn't properly support the 21.9 aspect ratio. Use dvi-d or display port instead.

I think MRK who had the 34" version had the same issue on DP 1.2 and had to get it RMAd. Hopefully its not as sever!

It works perfectly now with a Dual DVI cable.
