Hello,
I am a long time lurker/(very) old customer that couldn't remember his old details so forgive the post count.
I am in the market for a multi-monitor 4k setup for productivity purposes. I quite like the LG 32UD99 monitors however, as they have also been criticised by reviews, the Warranty period offered with them is disproportionately small given their price.
Looking at spending the best part of 2k for a couple of monitors, the 2 year RTB warranty is quite off-putting in comparison to most vendors offering 3Y On-Site/Advanced Replacement with some doing or offering cheap upgrades to 5Y.
I know that the team here is working closely with some vendors and offer enhanced warranties for products purchased through Overclockers (one example being Phillips). I also know that vendor reps frequent these forums too.
Do you think that an improved warranty offering could be in the cards? In my humble opinion I feel that LG should back their product and offer some more substantial warranties for this class of monitor.
What do others think? Would you consider this monitor more favourably if it had a 5 year/3y on-site warranty?
