LG 34GN850-B 34" 3440X1440 NANO IPS 160HZ 1MS FREESYNC/G-SYNC

Totally different target uses and markets. Who wants a 65” TV on their desk if they are looking for a pc monitor?! Even if they are doing some gaming.

Exactly my thoughts, i've currently got a Predator X34a which has served me well, I would like a higher refresh rate and lower input lag for the FPS im playing more and more of.

I've got an LG OLED in the living room, the picture is beautiful but would never use it as my only monitor.

Official G-sync compatibility.
Hopefully a further improvement in motion handling.
Higher (overclocked) refresh rate,
Reduced power max consumption 80w vs 140w

Apart from that not that i can see from the spec sheet.

Oh well, bought a 34GK950-F which arrived this morning anyway. Not fussed on the overclock, and was after freesync anyway. First freesync and >60hz monitor too. Quick blast on Borderlands 3 with freesync on and around 90-100 fps with tear free screen. Very nice. :D Plenty of tweaking to do to find the best settings for me.

How are you getting on with it?

Hoping that my 34GN850 will dispatch shortly :)

Thanks for the info Nik. Like I say I am without a monitor and was happy to wait for a few weeks for these. Hopefully will be worth it. It sounds quite promising though and hopefully you will receive them soon. I am happy to wait a while longer, just if it was likely to be weeks away then I will have to reconsider my options.

I’ll be patient for now. I am new to all this (so don’t know how the supply chain works in this area) so if I came across like I was criticising your efforts I apologise.

I believe 18 units have arrived today :D

Maybe the stock hasn't been booked in yet or they are all allocated.

I know I'm number 2 on the pre order list and my order still shows and "pre-order".

I'm optimistic to get it for the weekend/Monday.

My main issue is sneaking it past the mrs :D;)

Well after a half days use, I think I have been blessed by the Panel Gods. No Dead Pixels. A very little IPS glow but barely noticeable. The colours are so vibrant and contrast appears great. I am very pleased.

I'm realy pleased with mine too, how have you tested for ips glow?

I got brighter portions in the corner but its due to the curvature, if i move my head it dissapears.

I'm over a week in with it now and I have to say i'm over the moon with it!

I can definately notice the improvement in refresh rate and response time over that of my old Acer X34a.

By now means a cheap purchase, but it will last me years to come.

Problem is ill need a 3080ti to push 160fps at high settings in the games I play ££££

I guess it depends how important the input lag and whether you can push the extra frames in games to make use of the refresh rate improvement?
