I have just received my LG 34UC98 superwide monitor. I have connected the monitor using the HDMI that came with the monitor. However, whenever I watch a video, on Youtube for example, I get screen flickering for at least ten minutes after. This subsequently corrects itself.
Just to clarify that I have changed the refresh rate on the monitor and graphics adaptor to 30Hrz but still the flickering persists.
I am very concerned that a monitor that cost in excess of £700 has an issue of this nature and if HDMI has these problems then why include it????
I have ordered a mini DP to DP cable which was always my intention so that I can game but it has not arrived yet (****** taking forever to deliver a cable!!!!???) and it may correct the issue but still not great hey!?
I have contacted Overclockers who are supportive and will replace/change if it is an issue, we shall see.
Now the reason for posting was in part to see if I am doing something wrong, is it a comparability issue or is the monitor faulty? Furthermore, I thought it would be good to make people/ retailers/manufactures aware of this issue.
