LG 34UC98-W 34" Viewing Distance, Desk Size

Hi,
I am currently looking at purchasing something along the lines of a LG 34" curved screen monitor for daily use and gaming. At the same time I am going to be purchasing a desk to go with it.

Can anyone offer any advice or experience on the best viewing distance (Depth of desk) that would be best suited for this size of monitor?

Also the width of the desk that would be best suited with room on either side for some speakers?

My current desk is 60cm depth, 120cm wide. Which I think might just cut it, but with limited space for speakers depending on their size. However the desk is old and I am changing it anyway.

If it helps, I have a 34" non curved LG on a 90cm width 70cm depth desk and its fine. In fact just played a round of BF1 on it to reacquaint myself with it, so thanks for the thread!

eta - 90cm width is the same width as the screen give or take. I use a soundbar under the screen but no room for speakers either side. 120cm would give you 15cm each side.
