Awesome, thank you! Some questions!

If you could check into the Vignetting this would be great. Especialyl at the top and bottom of the edges of the screen if they appear darker or not.
You are not using sphere 2.0 function?
Also one question about the iracing clip... it seems so fluid and nice (as if there is motion blur?) is there anything special done ?
How are you achieving 154fps by the way? What settings are you using?
What GFX card?
And why 154 fps limiter? I guess you set it a few FPS below 160 right?
yes bought it from a dutch retailer.

(I assume you got it from a Dutch retailer yes?)

thats just filmed with a phone cam. its not going to get better there is not enough light so the recording makes it look way more ghosted than things are.
i didn't really notice or see a vignette before but i tested it and really looked for it. there is a very slight vignette on the lowest brightness's settings side.
i havnt set a fixed frame rate in those games yet. its the nvidia low latency setting on ultra doing that. i still have to set a fixed rate in those games.
so far i used this so i don't have to set a rate for all the games i play low latency does a decent job if you dont set anything i know its now the most optimal but ill start doing that probably set it on 158 ;)
Graphics card is a EVGA 2080 XC ULTRA

i made a quick an dirty review

HDR on LG 38gn950 HDR 600 10 bit 3840x1600.
SDR
Recorded with my samsung smartphone in pro camera mode with fixed settings and same fixed shutterspeed.
To try and make a fair comparison in how hdr looks.
I didn't think it would make such a big difference.
(also in the SDR mode i have hdr on in iracing for the extra color en lighting dynamics but it doesnt compare to real hdr)
(Here is a direct comparison, in one video but sadly a lot of detail is lost because of my video editing software. better too compare the who originals. but for those who want it here is it in one video)
hope this helps showing off what hdr really does on a hdr screen. i know hdr600 aint perfect until we have per pixel lighting but it still works pretty nice!

+ vignette / backlight bleed test

its way way better then the 34gk950 generation.

Some ufo tests
static

panning / following

i found out some more things i have been running srgb profile.
and noticed when u do 10 bit hdr it go's back to gamer 1 but it uses the SRGB profile or something that looks real close to it. always has. but just noticed it when moving to srgb on normal settings

No i don't know if that's even possible. but i always leave the screen on when i turn of my pc it go's into deep sleep mode and use no power. and when you then turn on the pc the screen will just go on without any sphere lighting effects.

Yea a 2080 can barely push out enough fps especially in bf v that's the only problem but that will be fixed soon when the 3080 comes out ;)
even in call of duty with much on low / medium textures its 90-120 mostly. with a new high end card it will all run a lot smoother. if you buy an expensive monitor like this be sure to also have an high end pc.

What do you reckon about this? https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/posts/33757025

Says monitor is not nearly as smooth as a GSYNC module version and that it has flickering with local dimming enabled.

Simple turn local dimming off it doesn't have much use anyway(onlyhdr), flickering is the wrong word it doesn't flicker. ofcource you can see it work on a dark screen... but it never flickers you just see the birghtness move.

(and in real dark movies and hdr you can see the backlight dim an brighten a lot you could call that flicker there, but you can manage that in the osd with variable backlight setting you can either turn that one off or on slow medium and fast. ) so yes there are two setting for the backlight when hdr is on ( and this all apply only for hdr )

And i would say the gsync competible is just as good as normal gsync. it functions the same and no tearing. A lot of people don't even set it up correctly or have it really on at all. you need vsync + gsync on in the driver and limit the fps a few below the max hz so lets say 157 when you use 160hz
if you haven't played before with gsync yet, its soo much smoother and lower inputlag than even 300+ unlocked fps with no sync. A lot of people don't know you must have v-sync + G-Sync on in the driver and lock the fps ingame to a few fps below 160hz zo 157fps. then you always have the fastest response / lowest input lag. Check the right column in this video --> https://youtu.be/L42nx6ubpfg?t=826 2nd to last result in the gtx 1060 row and compare to the other results.

also people tend to forget to tick the box at nr3. with a gsync competible screen ---> https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/454607147221778434/731974040411177101/unknown.png
i don't recall having to turn that on with a "real"screen but i might be wrong just did a fresh install today everything is fine here dough nothing to do with the monitor juist win10 builds over and over wanted a fresh one.
there are no problems or flaws with this monitor here.

And playing with a low fps on a screen like this is pretty useless imho you gonne need a 3080 or 3080ti for this. if you dont want that its better too buy the 34gn950 imho

And again this screen never flickers with or without gsync. its time tftcentral or somebody who measures this reviews this.

and yes YOU NEED VSYNC ON + GSYNC ON this is how its made to function. and cap the fps a few below max hz.

here are the results https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/454607147221778434/731938463397576855/unknown.png check the bottom 3 on the 1060 row. this is test was on a gsync competible screen.

its so funny how little people know their stuff.
