Wondered if anybody is using one of these as there main PC monitor.

Was in local electrical shop today and seen one. Would it be any good for gaming, etc.

Any info appreciated.

I was considering this model myself as a TV in my room. Poor response time from what I'd read, not great for gaming. There's a good review here. I've always found accurately judging TV's in a shop to be an exercise in futility.

You can tell from that video the viewing angles are pretty bad, but if set up right I guess you wouldn't notice. Presumably it would be the same VA panel as the UK model, although guy in video says TN, which isn't what they reviewed for the UK model.

Would like a 40" display for playing Elite, but not want to go over £500 if possible and not have to spend a mint on graphics cards either.

But downside is the quality will be chronic.

Maybe just have to save the pennies for the new 40" 4k Panasonic.

But cant get the 40UB8000 it in UK. Is the 40UB800V the UK version?

Just seen picture of the back of this 40UB800V TV and it has 'HDCP 2.2 with 4K@60hz'

Maybe would be good pc monitor based on the HDMI spec.

LG are selling the 42" model which is otherwise identical in UK for around £590 with immediate delivery (£500 if you want to wait for it to be shipped from EU) but you need a HDMI 2.0 GPU to display 4K via HDMI which is its best connection no DisplayPort is present.

Has anybody got the 42" version, the 'LG 42UB820V'.

Looking to get this or the 40" on Friday if any good.

The 42" seems to have the same spec as the 40" in review but actually has a 42" IPS screen.

sounds good does the 42 lg found it for £499 for the tv. ips can run 60htz.

The specs of the 42" are (HDMI 2.0 60 Hz) and as I mentioned IPS panel.

Cant find a single review or YT clip where somebody is using this as a their main PC display. From what I can see from the web it has the exact same specifications as the 40" one reviewed above but with different screen panel.
