lg 42LN613V vs 42LN578V

Hi not going to be of any help to you but I am too looking at the 578 model. I have read quite a few reviews on the 578 and it all seems pretty good. Some people saying the apps/smart features are not working some say they do. Magic remote works and some say it doesn't. One review mentioned it was unwatchable due to motion blur and picture jumping where as the rest say its been fantastic.. Its has 100hz processor so currently better than my current 720p LG plasma thats going on for 6/7 years old could be older..? not sure.

currently the 587 is going for £399 at a variety of outlets. I am very tempted.. How much is the 613 you are looking at?

Hi I got the answer on av forums both are basically the same with the colour being the only difference one silver one black and both at 399 at argos and the other place

Watch out for the marketing gimmicks it might say 100 hz MCI (LG Motion Clarity Index) which actually is 50 hz refresh rate. Heres a website that goes into more detail : http://www.rtings.com/info/what-is-the-refresh-rate

Just found this while searching google for info on the 613v. Thanks for the link, ak22. If the info on there is 100% then the 613v is better because it's 200CMI = 100hz.

How much did you find the 613v for? I'm in the process of looking for a new TV

£400 from a store where they use catalogs inside. Not sure I can say the name here so hopefully that helps :). Im hoping it's a true 100hz panel as I'm very interested

I have found it cheers i'm still not 100% sure if it 100hz stupid marketing  That previous website I linked has second table where it the hz is different.

"The table seems to have changed, LG 200 MCI was previously categorized under 50hz but it is now 100hz. Any reason why this changed?
This was an error that has been corrected. All of the series 6 from LG are 100Hz."

I assume the 6 in: 42LN613V means the tv is 6 series ?

I also found this thread below to confuse things even more (check the 5th post)

Which? Think I may just get a plasma..

Sony Bravia KDL42W653: £489.99 ( the shop has 2 male names in it) including 5 year warranty it has amazingly low input lag which suits me perfect for watching Sports and playing games a lot of good reviews for this TV.
Hopefully will collect it this weekend if its still on sale I wanted to stay under the £400 budget but I believe its worth the investment, I was thinking of getting plasma but struggled to find 42 inch 1080p

Edit: Best price £469.99 but only comes with one year warranty
