Im looking at the LG 43UD79 been looking at it for a while now, I like the 4 inputs and can show them at the same time, 4K is nice, not overly worried about HDR due to Windows 10 not really handling it so not too worried.

Gaming wise I game on Dell u2711 which is 60Hz IPS panel and never ran into any issues, games mostly played are things like World of Warships, PUBG. I would also have my switch and xbox one plugged in.

I know my 970GTX will not run games at 4K with high graphics but should be fine in most the games I play.

Now the question is there a better option out there?

I've had that LG briefly and it's an excellent all-round monitor with a low input lag for gaming. I think it'll be perfect for ya.

Sounds good :) I have measured and it fits on the desk so thats a good start :)

Any issues with it? Have seen in some reviews talk about a small shadow around the border?

Yeah I read the same before I had it, but I never noticed anything in normal use. I saw a little something when I really looked for it, just didn't bother to look for it after and was fine! Bit overblown I think...

Ok thanks :)

What was the reason you got rid of it?

My team uses these at work and everybody loves them, I can't really comment on gaming use for any desktop work they are excellent.
Regarding the shadow on the borders, it can look a bit like that at first but if you look closely it is actually a reflection of the bezel, the image on the panel does actually still go right to the edge

For the price you pay £637.00 for the LG 43UD79-B then no to your question, but if the price is not an issue then yes the 32UD99-W 32 Inch 4K HDR10 Monitor £899.99 both monitors are UHD

£900 was a bit of a stretch too far so ended up with the 43UD79 and its pretty impressive, no issues with it so far plus hooked up is PC, Switch, Xbox and FireTV stick

Very happy with it :)

Big screen gaming is fun, the games I play so far no issue with 4K on my 970GTX with a couple of tweaks, sit around 60FPS, PUBG sits around 30-40 but then its engine is a bit of a dog lol.

Will keep an eye on the new nvidia series comingout
