Picked up an LG 49UJ670V and connected it to my PS4 standard none pro using a certified HDR HDMI cable.

When I launch FIFA my TV tells me it's going to turn on HD Deep Colour mode as it's detexted HDR content from my PS4. I click OK and the screen goes back but then comes back again and there's a little LG HDR logo in the top right. However the picture is very dull/dim. If I increase the brightness I have to get it to 75 which makes it all looked washed out.

So I changed the picture mode from GAME mode to STANDARD and it's better. But I want to play in game mode which reduces input lag. What can I do to fix this?

Ive searched the forums and couldn't find a definitive answer but seems like lots of people are having this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried changing from Standard mode to vivid? I picked up the same TV earlier today and found on standard, everything is very dark (or at least it is compared to the 10 year old Sony we were used to!).

If you want it bright make sure energy saving is off rather than auto. I have the 701V in the bedroom but it should be similar, personally I like energy saving on auto for the best black level though and it burns my retinas with it off it's just waaaay too bright.

I find with vivid it's too bright. Does game mode only affect input lag? I only play single player games so I'm not that fussed about lag.

Also have you got TrueMotion on for normal TV watching? If I turn it off I get judder but when I set to clear / smooth I get motion blur :/

Spent a good two hours yesterday messeing around with picture settings for Netflix and still can't get it right! The calrity and colour is perfect but its the motion blur causing me hassle. I've tried all the options under TrueMotion and it doesn't erradicate it. I fond Cinema picture mode is best but it doesn't help with motion blur.

For examples when watching Minions when they walk/run across the screen they become blurry. Any advice would be great.
