LG Announce the 52G930B, a 52″ Ultrawide Monitor with 5K2K Resolution
Ahead of CES in a couple of week’s time, LG Electronics have unveiled their line-up of new monitors that will be on show at the event. One of the new models being announced is the massive new 52G930B, a 52″ (yes, 52″!) ultrawide monitor with a 5K2K resolution and 240Hz refresh rate. This new model introduces a new class of large-format gaming displays, taking things to the next level with a new 21:9 aspect ratio option. The massive screen features the vertical viewing height of a standard 42-inch 16:9 display, stretching horizontally for an expansive 12:9 panoramic view.
The screen is 52″ in size with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 5120 x 2160 “5K2K” resolution. Panel technology is not listed but we’d expect this to be an IPS LCD panel. It has a fairly steep 1000R curvature, but keep in mind the massive screen size here. It has a 1ms G2G response time and a 240Hz refresh rate, along with a 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut. The screen supports VESA DisplayHDR 600 capabilities for HDR. Connectivity includes 1x DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), 2x HDMI 2.1 and 1x USB type-C (with DP Alt mode and 90W power delivery).

I hope this not an LCD monitor, interesting to see it in real life but I still prefer my Samsung 57" odyssey, the higher resolution is better for productivity and coding. would have loved an ultrawide almost equivalent to two 38" monitors which would be perfect or even two 42" but that would be really big still doable, my Samsung is two 32" monitors practically stuck together, I would love a little more vertical height than the current 32". Resolution is not the best either for such large monitor.
***EDIT***
I think its LCD unfortunately, these companies don't seem to listen to their customer just want to rehash old technology and sell it, LCD needs to die.
