How do they compare

some very good deals on 65 inch B1s atm Costco offering it at £1400

Anyone any thoughts ?

budget creep

currently looking at a G1, any thoughts on hoqw it compares to the others big difference in price though at £2300

Comparing the Rtings review for the B1 and C1, they are basically equal and in some areas the B1 is better than the C1.

LG B1 OLED Review (OLED55B1PUA, OLED65B1PUA, OLED77B1PUA)

LG C1 OLED Review (OLED48C1PUB, OLED55C1PUB, OLED65C1PUB, OLED77C1PUB, OLED83C1PUA)

The B1 beats the C1 in: Grey uniformity, viewing angles, both pre and post calibration color accuracy(!), color gamut, color volume, gradient handling, stutter, and sound frequency response.

The only advantages I can see are the C1 has 2 more HDMI 2.1 ports, LFC on the screens VRR and slightly better brightness. The price difference is £360 in the UK looking at what both screens have been discounted to recently at Costco in the UK.

So how come I hardly ever see anyone recommending the B1?

The B1 has the a7 processor whilst the C1 has the a9.

Copied from another forum:
The A9 is a new OLED dedicated processor, with 4 step noise reduction (2 step in A7, HFR support, image identification and blur stabilisation)

Also B1 is not available in 48" whilst the C1 is.

From chatting with the LG employee at a local AV store.. the main difference is that the G1 has a higher nit value for HDR.

I haven’t really looked into it any further as I ended up buying a C1.

just to follow this up, ended up getting a 65" C1

absolutely fantastic set and cant fault it at all

Costco are doing a £1698.99 for the 65" C1 with another £110 deducted at checkout. I rang my local Richer Sounds, told them the deal and they dropped the price from £1699.99 to £1560.00. Picked it up at lunch time. Was upgrading from a 55" C9, that extra 10" really does make a difference. Absolutely beautiful TV.

A lot of these will be down to panel variance, rather than model variance

I’d just get whichever is cheaper/you prefer the look of.

I’d have gone Costco - their warranty, as far as I’m aware, covers burn in still :-)
