This is a new product arriving tomorrow to OcUK.

Would this work with the Mac? I mean will DVD Player play BluRay disks?

Or is there software already out there on the Mac which will work with this drive?

No, it won't play (Blu Ray movie) discs.

You can use Toast to read & write Blu-Ray data discs, but DVD Player isn't patched to enable playback of films.

You'd need a patch to the OS that enables it to work, and hardware that can handle all the HDCP nonsense.

I thought that this may be the case, its only because I was looking at Toast 9 and then noticed the external driver which led me to put 2+2 together and get 5.



I guess its a strictly PS3/LCD feature still!
