Looking at this for my next build. It's the right size for my desk, LED-backlit, 1080P, good quality brand and it's well priced.

Does anyone own one? What it's like for gaming and general use (web browsing, MS office work etc.)?

LG E2350V 23" Widescreen LED Monitor - £182.99

Thankfully not, but I have used one. It is one of the poorest implementations of an LED backlight I've seen so far - the colours are very poor (with a very strong blue-bias) and ghosting is a real issue with this screen. Personally I think you'd be better off getting a Samsung if you want the best image quality from an LED monitor, but if you don't want to spend that much (understandable) I'd be looking at BenQ's LED backlit screens. They are even better value than the LG and the colours are a lot better under direct viewing.

Thanks PCM2 for your response. That's a little disappointing! I was originally going to get the BenQ G2222HDL but I was told here that it was a bit bit cheap and that I'd be better off spending a bit more. It's actually smaller than the LG 23" (it's only 21.5") but I'd prefer a 21" over a 23" due to desk restrictions.

So you think I'd be better off with the BenQ?

Honestly I think the 24" BenQ LED-backlit monitors will be money well spent for your needs. I still haven't got round to trying them out but they seem more promising than the LG. I know it sucks when you find out something you were really interested in isn't so good. :(

I've got the 22 inch version, the drivers do not even install with Windows 7 64 bit making you not be able to use about 50% of the menu features and LG have not solved this still for me.(can't find a fix either, unless someone knows then please say i'll send you some alcohol :p )

put aside the functions, how is the picture quality?

any ghosting?

any noticable back light bleed?

are the blacks really black or a dodgy grey?
