Hi all

I don't post a lot here to be honest, although to use the forums a fair bit to get opinions on products and to see your thoughts.

I was looking at the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-129-LG&groupid=17&catid=2907

Which seems decent value for money at first glance. It looks ideal for me because i work with around 30 tabs open at any one time, and things can get confusing. I'd like it for the odd game too, although not too fussed about it being in 21:9 for all games as it's mainly for work. I'm a BF4 player and hopefully if Hardlines turns out better than i expect... ill play that too.

Anyway, having trouble finding reviews, specifically video reviews and OCUK has none on the store page, so i am finding it hard to pull the trigger. If any of you monitor wizards could offer your insights i would really appreciate it.

I'm pretty clued up to be fair, i'm just not sure what to make of it, y aknow decent price, hard to find reviews... makes me wonder that's all.

Sorry this is turning into a long story! Ha!
Again, would appreciate some insight if you would :)

Thanks!

I am looking at this and i was also looking at some reviews on-line and i have heard only good things from lg and this monitor especially with the multiple rear IO and the usb 3 ports thats handy to but ye i wish i could get it however i can only afford be grade stuff as i am at uni.To be fair its cheap for what it is to.The obly thing though and this was a while ago when i was looking into the scaling is that common day things like watching movies etc or doing specific tasks can be effected however for your purposes of gaming it sounds Grreat!

It almost has a "too good to be true" look about, I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a 21:9 screen for a while (My Iiyama E2403WS has been giving me intermittent "auto adjusting" smack bang in the middle of the screen for ~13 months now). £250 for a 29", something has to be weak, but sadly reviews seem to be like hen's teeth. My guess is the 6-bit colour depth is this monitor's biggest weakness.

It depends if you want Freesync or not.

LG got two 21:9 Freesync monitors on the way. They are pretty much refresh of the existing monitor but with added Freesync (adaptive sync) feature.
34UM65->34UM67
29UM65->29UM67

At the moment only the 34" 21:9 34UM67 is available on preorder:

I myself is waiting for the 29" 21:9 29UM67 (the 34UM67 is too big for me!), and it should be not more expensive than the model which it replaces and should hopefully coming in at around £300 or less.

I took the plunge, and i will review to help others out. Had it for 6 hours and so far i am really pleased. Colours are decent and the panel has no Back light issues. I will indeed share more later on (probably tomorrow before i start work)

More to the point... No Haribo! :D

Ill keep you posted
