Looking for some suggestions to solve a mystery...
I've always kept my oyster card on the back of my phone in a rubber stick-on card slot. I find it really convenient to just pull out my phone, tap and go through the gate.
I just got an LG G4 with the curved back and am not so keen on sticking something over the top of it. I'm also not sure the curve will really allow it to work...
So my proposed solution is to dissolve an oyster card to get the RFID chip out and then stick it onto the inside of the phone back cover. Simples.
I've done the above successfully and it works great when the cover is off the phone. But as soon as I clip it onto the phone it stops working. It's like something in the phone is interfering with the RFID reception. NFC is switched off. I can't think of anything else to try.
