Mine had something like that, a replacement panel on a C9, one wipe sorted it. But it wasn't diagonal lines they were vertical.

strange how its appeared on a brand new TV so quickly!!
Mine had vertical lines out the box but ran pixel clean and hasn't been issue since. They I believe have been from the factory clean before having the peel installed.
You'll notice possibly getting same if you shut screen off and then wipe down and turn on it can sometimes leave similar lines and you just do a pixel refresh.
I find best to have it on but full black screen and then clean down with the microfibre and haven't had issue since then.

I think it can also happen if the pixel clean is run with sunlight on the screen. I once had an after image like that on an older OLED, that seemed to go after a while.

What’s the likely hood the G5 55” dropping below £1499? , that seem to be the current price with offers on.

Cheapest I’ve seen is £1399 at John Lewis with a discount code.
I think best you’ll be able to hope for is around £11-1200 in the short term.

It was on the John Lewis website under special offers on the tv page.
Tv was £1499 yesterday with the £100 discount.
I’ve just looked now and the price has shot up….
Edit: it seems the price has shot up everywhere now. The 55G56LS which is the one i want was around 1500 quid at all the usual retailers.
They’re likely raising the price for the imminent discounts to show a bigger saving. It’s £1899 at richer sounds now - absolute joke.

Yeah will wait then, Richer Sounds it comes with a free soundbar, but it depends if one wants one or not.

They were doing the soundbar before the price increase. So it’ll likely still be there when it drops again.
These prices will likely start dropping for Easter sales. They always bump the prices up ridiculously before dropping them.
Keep an eye out at Very too. They often do 20% back for existing customers and a new customers gets that off their first order.
