My brother purchased the above monitor at some highstreet store as ex-display for £100.00. He was told monitor has a contrast of 5000:1 yet i cant find any model info when searching to back this claim up, + he didnt get a manual with it or the even the box. Also he did'nt even ask if it's been used for live demonstration 24/7! 
I have no idea what the original retail cost would have been new uppon release or even now, so did he get a good deal or ripped off? Unfortunatly I was not around when he purchased it to advise or haggle, and suspect he may have been taken for a ride price wise + the contrast facts as i know my bro can be far too trusting...
