LG LED Vs LCD

As people are probably dying to tell you, the 'LED' monitor is actually still an LCD monitor it just has a different backlight. I haven't used either monitor myself but from what I have read and heard the second option offers greater colour accuracy and similar overall performance (so this would be my choice out of the two). With reference to LED backlighting in general: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=17364844&postcount=6

Thanks for the info. So you would disregard the 'thiness', weight, power cosumption etc of the LED when choosing between the two? If both of them have more or less similair performance/price is it not wise to go for the LED (technically still lcd :P)?

Cheers

Everything else being equal, yes - but I believe the colour quality is superior on the LG W2261V. I have a little bit about both monitors and also some user reviews on my website (link in signature). I wish I had tested both monitors so I could be of more help, but sadly I haven't.
