LG M228WD 22" the best choice for my needs?

I have a very tight budget, I need speakers on the screen, I need VGA and component on it and I need it to be bigger than 19"

Simple really. Have I made the right choice in wanting to get this monitor, and is it the best for my needs and are there any other models I should consider?

hyundai hm22w or samsung 225md should make your list too. I am going for the hm22w as it is so so cheap in comparison to the other two.

I could add in a 2.1 system and freeview box and still be under the price of the LG and Sammy.

Well. The hyundai hm22w can be had for £180 if you look around. Great monitor for the money with plenty of inputs (hdmi, component, d-sub and scart)an inbuilt analogue tuner and 720p/1080i support.

It's only downsides to me are:

Bit of backlight bleed
Poor sound

Looks great and works perfectly for what I need. Very pleased with it for the money.
