Lg magic remote and sky box

Sorry for posting this but my eyes are almost bleeding from google searches and reading results.

i have just got an lg 55c6v set and everything seems to work as it should, have not done any tweaking of colors or settings.
i have a panasonic bluray player connected and my skyhd box the remote seems to work to an extent with sky.

on the remote pressing the stb button takes me to sky menus i can navigate the menus but i am uable to find if there is a way to activate record on sky via the magic remote.

if anyone has any links, guides or help i will be very grateful
