I am sure I had problems on my old rig (going from DVI to VGA inputs… Xbox + PC) but it’s much more noticeable on my new one because I put it to ‘sleep’. However, there’s a 50:50 chance that when I wake my computer back up from sleep the monitor (on DVI) will not wake back up. It just says there is no DVI signal and I have to reboot the computer (reset button) and it comes back to life.
I’ve also got a HDMI cable from my graphics card to my TV and if I turn my TV on, the image is always there, even if waking back up from sleep, so it’s a not a graphics card or a PSU problem. It seems monitor related.
Is this a common problem at all? What could be causing it?
I’ve checked cables more times than I care to remember.
