LG OLED 2022 Thread - A2, B2, C2, G2

From what I remember the Turing GPUs only support HDMI 2.0b?

I assume you are running at 4k 120hz at a 8 bits with 4:2:0? Maybe it's struggling as that is a bit beyond spec still.
I've knocked it down to 4k 60hz and fired up Cyberpunk and it's absolutely fine. Battlefield is still being funny, not the end of the world if it's just that I have problems with as I only installed it to test.

Looking to pick up a G2 soon, although I may wait in the vain hope that there's a Black Friday sale. Anything weird going on with the G2's worth knowing about?

Picked up a C2 a couple of days ago which I'm using as a monitor and been playing Monkey Island and also some PS5 and it's been perfect. Thought I'd have a go of Battlefield V on the PC but when playing it starts flicking through the picture modes, Vivid, Standard and Game Optimiser whilst giving me a black screen.

Any way to force picture mode on this thing so it doesn't keep switching on me?

I'm running at 4k 120hz on the PC and Battlefield is running at 1440p 120hz.
Have you set the HDMI Input to PC? It might be an issue with the autodetection. I think you have to open up the settings on the inputs menu, chose the 3dots to the right of the input and set to PC. I think i saw a youtube channel(HDTVTest) do that to change the PS5 to a PC mode rather than game mode to get the full chroma output.

Yeah I've done all that.

I've sacked it off as a monitor for now as it was really annoying me when using Lightroom which I use quite a lot.

TV is dedicated to the PS5 at the moment and I'll upgrade the graphics card at some point and try again.

Looking to purchase a 55" C2. Can get one through my NHS Fleet Home Electronics which over 12 months works out to be £1109. Decent considering Currys are offering a free LG Sounder worth £399 which can be sold on as I've just got a new Sonos Beam 2.

Is this TV really as good as they say it is? Especially for gaming as I use my PS5 on my TV currently.

Plenty of reviews around. But yes its a good TV, more so for gaming. There are other TV's that depending on what your after excel in certain area's like the QD-OLED's etc, even LG's own G2. But the C2 is an all around good TV and reason why it gets pretty good ratings all around.

I've seen reviews but wanted real world reviews from owners and the OCUK community.

The G2, whilst marginally brighter is mainly for wall mounting I've seen. This won't be possible for myself.

Yep the C2 is a good TV still, been using one for gaming for months along with a G2. G2 comment along with the QD-OLED was mostly there are some other TV's which may excel in certain areas marginally, but that the C2 is still a good all around TV.

Do you still get a warranty, and how do you get the offer. My Mrs is in the nhs, but didn't realise you could do this.

sign her upto NHS Fleet Home Electronics.

It's all calculated on what Band you are etc.
But basically you select an item and you get an e-card for Currys to that value. it can be used on anything.
Might look into it. I found a fleet electronics website but it didn't have an lg tvs on.
Edit, scratch that, the search function is pretty poor. Typing in lg tv brings up nothing, so had to search just from lg.

NEW C2 collected and installed yesterday.

Have been messing around with some settings and using the calibration setting from RTINGS.

Any other setting worth turning on/off to get the most out of my TV.
Currently connected to a Sonos Beam (Gen 2).
