As title I can have one of these TV's due to how the TV stands are on the TV, I can get the bigger Samsung TV to fit on my corner TV unit.
My uses for the TV is Netflix and Xbox series x.
I'm leaning towards the Samsung due to the bigger screen, still impressive PQ compared to my 1080p Toshiba 49" screen, and also don't have to worry about burn in as I keep my TV's for 7+ years.
Am I making the right choice, is the lg 48" oled the superior TV despite being 6" smaller, is oled a huge difference compared to qled in terms of PQ? The Samsung does have some impressive features that matter for gaming, rtings seem to rate it highly.

If you definitely want it for gaming on 7+ years, then definitely QLED. It still has a stunning picture regardless of what the OLED diehards say, and many prefer the brighter screens of QLED for HDR gaming.

But surely you'd be worrying about that with the 48"

I'd always go 55" over 48" assuming both sets are similar (Ie don't choose a Tesco £200 55" over a 48" OLED). The QLED will still be a great TV.

Yeah of course, I was just after opinions to say that burn in ain't a problem etc. But yeah I think the Samsung is the winner.

The Samsung is easily the better choice. The 48" oleds are actually quite a bit worse than 55" ones. Only really meant for monitor usage tbh.
