That brightness though, so low.

Does this one even have HDR400 certification?

Browsing through the rtings catalogue, you have to go back to 2015/2016 to find an LG OLED with SDR brightness that low.

Just give me 32" OLED panel. I these will be great image wise but 48" is far too big imo

32 inch panels will come eventually, they'll likely be Samsung QD-OLEDs though. LG can't make a 32 inch 4K panel, the technology doesn't exist and people may not want a 32 inch 1440p panel in its place due to low PPI. LG has managed to make a 42inch 4k panel but that one has a bunch of issues that will get much much worse at 32inch.

LG is coming out with a 27inch 2560x1440p 240hz monitor, but 32 inch 4K not anytime soon

When you say “bunch of issues” with the 42” OLED panels, what are you referring to?

*Cough*

JOLED produce the panel used in that screen and others similar. There’s a 27” version too. They could in the future produce others of that size inc with higher refresh rates too but their pricing is much higher than LG’s own WRGB panels

LG do have plans to produce a 27” WRGB panel with high refresh rate but it would be 1440p not 4k, although that’s perfectly adequate on a screen that size anyway and arguably preferable for many

*Cough*

That's not an LG panel, duh, I was clearly talking about LG WOLED panels not Japan's JOLED.

And it's not unique, there are plenty other small 4k OLED monitors, there is even an 8k 32inch monitor but they are not using LG WOLED

Check the rtings review

It is for example:

* Significantly dimmer than other LG OLEDs, the 42 peaks at 190 nits in SDR compared to 430nits in larger size models, HDR is also dimmer by several hundred nits

* Viewing angle are also worse than bigger model

* Color accuracy is worse than bigger model, including significantly worse colors in HDR

I stand corrected!
