I've got an issue where the lip sync from my Skq Q box is out by a little but noticeable amount when watching DD or Atmos content. From reading around it's because the processing power of certain LG TVs isn't fast enough to keep up with the sound channels and as a result audio is sent to the Sound Bar after the picture, which traditional sync methods can't solve. Apparently if I am to use the optical lead (thus losing Atmos!) or change it to stereo output it solves the issues
I don't have any issues using my Apple TV or any of the apps on it after doing their rather brilliant wireless audio sync.
I'm loathed to buy a whole new TV just for a lip syncing issue. Has anyone read about this or experienced it and able to share any tips I might be able to try? I've already gone into the LG settings and put the sync to -5 which seems to have helped but it's still noticeable.
My TV is an OLED65B7V. If the newer models are definitely free of the issue then I might be tempted but I don't really want to shell out £2k or whatever it is for a suitable replacement set to be faced with the same issue.
