LG OLED + Sky Q + Sonos + AV Sync issues

I've got an issue where the lip sync from my Skq Q box is out by a little but noticeable amount when watching DD or Atmos content. From reading around it's because the processing power of certain LG TVs isn't fast enough to keep up with the sound channels and as a result audio is sent to the Sound Bar after the picture, which traditional sync methods can't solve. Apparently if I am to use the optical lead (thus losing Atmos!) or change it to stereo output it solves the issues

I don't have any issues using my Apple TV or any of the apps on it after doing their rather brilliant wireless audio sync.

I'm loathed to buy a whole new TV just for a lip syncing issue. Has anyone read about this or experienced it and able to share any tips I might be able to try? I've already gone into the LG settings and put the sync to -5 which seems to have helped but it's still noticeable.

My TV is an OLED65B7V. If the newer models are definitely free of the issue then I might be tempted but I don't really want to shell out £2k or whatever it is for a suitable replacement set to be faced with the same issue.

We have the same as above but the CX rather than the B7 but have not noticed those issues.

Have you seen if you can sort it out using the lip sync delay within the Sonos app? I frequently have to use that whenever I use Amazon Prime but it's fine for everything else

The problem with doing it via the Sonos app (or the Sky Q box) is that you can only further delay the audio and that's the issue, the picture is being shown before the sound is played.

Ah so the opposite! Sorry I can't be of more help. Hope you find a good solution instead of having to replace an already really good television!

Same setup but have the rears as well and the 55" CX. Mate has same also and the 65" and have no issues with lip sync. Used to get it on the b7 myself before the upgrade.

Hmm, so it seems like that confirms what I've found out then, shame.

The CX picture quality over the B7 is massive anyway and you will also get the earc upgrade. Well worth it if you can afford it and with the current prices of the CX.

We're just about to send just shy of £40k to our solicitors, pay for removals etc, so upgrading the TV is somewhat at the bottom of our priority list. :D
