I'm potentially looking at upgrading to an OLED TV.
How much of a pain is it not having DTS passthrough on the new LG OLED models?
I've got a 7.1 surround speaker setup.
I've got a PS5 and perhaps looking at getting an Xbox X in the future. I also have an old AV amp, which would need replacing as it's able to process 1080p.
Wondering what pitfalls are there with no DTS on the LG TVs? If I upgraded my AV amp and fed the device to that first and then to the TV, I'm going to be introducing input lag, which is a given.. but I've read places about audio sync issues?
The TV will be for gaming and playing blu-ray movies. From what I've seen, the PS5 isn't the best method of playing blu-rays (no Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision), so don't mind shelling out for a bluray player.
Just wondering is it worth going for an LG in their current state or should I hold back or look else where. Thanks!
