Evening All,

As part of my PC upgrade I've been looking upgrade from my Dell U2412M and I think I've narrowed it down the the following two screen:

LG 34UC98 Vs Dell UltraSharp UP3216Q

In a nutshell my requirement are the following:

1. Video & Photo Work
2. Media Use
3. Casual Gaming (Battlefield, GTA5, Project Cars etc.... )

So looking for the options and opinions on which one to order.

Cheers.

I also moving from U2412M. Tested Z35 and found that curved monitor was not really suitable for serious graphics/UI work - because it made horizontal lines "bendy" and difficult to determine at first glance if the line was, in fact, straight, or not. This reduced productivity.

32" 4K on the other hand I would wholeheartedly recommend (tested with XB321HK). I found it extremely pleasant for work, video watching and gaming.

It's hard not to recommend Dell for photo and digital graphics work. They cost a lot, but you get fantastic colour accuracy, and it's worth adding a little on top to get yourself a colour calibration device :)

So yeah, from the two you've presented, I'd opt for the Dell. I am however keeping my eye out for the upcoming Dell UP3017 (non-Q) which will be a more manageable (than 4k) QHD and may turn out to be more useful for a casual gamer. Just a suggestion ^^

do you need wide gamut support for your content and work? do you have a hardware calibration device as well?

Althought its not really for professional use, its more enthusiastic home user. Yes, I will be buying a cailbration device as well.
