LG or Samsung?

So who generally has the better reputation as a LCD monitor manufacturer? Put aside whether the LCD is LED-backlit or CCFL-backlit, just rate the quality of the image.

Say if you were choosing a 22" 1080P monitor with a budget of about ~£175, and both LG and Samsung have models in this category, who would you choose?

personally id choose samsung. I have the 2333HD, and several family members and friends have samsung and we swear by them. For around this size Samsung is ace for monitors.

Thanks for that Joey. The 2333HD was one of the monitors I was looking at, so that's one up for Samsung.

I chose the LG. I saw them side by side and just preferred the picture on the LG. It's very much a matter of personal taste in this price range. Take yourself down to your local PChyperstore and have a look at them working.

Like Phage said it's "personal taste" I personally use Samsung for my tv and monitor (Samsung T240) and find them nice, But LG are good as well.

Proberly find it's an LG panel init anyway.just the bit's behind are diff. Try TFT Central.

Mine is an LG 23" 1080p and it's an absolutely brilliant picture. You won't find anything lacking in whichever brand you go for, both Samsung and LG are excellent. Just toss a coin or go for the cheapest tbh.
