LG Releases 34UC89G 34in 21:9 UltraWide Full HD GSYNC Curved IPS Display

No, just no. 1080p 34" is too big unless you have vision problems, and at that price makes zero sense. Why would you not get 1440p 21:9 for the same money, less in fact!?? Under what possible circumstances would this be preferable? I just don't get it. Maybe if you have an ageing GPU, but in which case THAT should be your upgrade priority!

Ha didn't notice it's Res, well that's my interest completely gone.

It's like they said " Hey lets give our customers exactly what they want! ALL THE THINGS they want! Ultrawide/Gsync/144+ Refresh/IPS but lets just lower the resolutions for the lols".

The logic there... makes no sense at all.

Hi All - I know, I know, the res the res, I nearly cried when I found out

But - and don't quote me on this, that $999 doesn't look right from what I can see - I was expecting more £799 INC Vat in the UK

Needs to be £600 or less for that in the current monitor market.

And in an ideal monitor market where everything was priced correctly, no more than £400......

It really is crazy how the freesync version is £300/400+ cheaper :o

I would rather go for the AOC AGON 35 inch VA 1440p G-Sync which is £720...

I would genuinely question the sanity of anyone who wouldn't! This monitor makes utterly and completely no sense at this price point... in fact I don't think I've ever seen such senseless purchase in my life. Please, can someone explain this to me? Anyone??
