LG TV in 480p

Watching Thor and notice it's all a bit soft and maybe looks worse than the recent watched freeviewHD so play around with settings trying to solve it and notice it's only in 480p.

Disc a bluray. My understanding is that the 480p setting is what the TV picks up and reads so guessing a bluray player issue which is also LG.

Any ideas?

If you play non native material the TV will scale it to native. Go to your BD player make sure output is set to native of the screen

I'll have to have a gander but looking at basic settings it's 16:9 originial.

That's aspect ratio, not output resolution.

Sorted, resolution was limited to 57something or whatever it was.
