Considering the LG c9 or Panasonic's. Both are great TVs apparently then Panasonic has better scaling, and more accurate colours out of the box, and no problems with black shadows and artefacts.

Sources will be Panasonic 820 be with regular bd movies, oppo 983 1080p dvd player and Android TV box altawise h92 pro plus which can I believe can output to 4k

I have the LG C7 and it's brilliant. I don't know much about the panasonics but I'd be tempted to go that way considering they support both HDR10+ and dolby vision. Panasonic UB820 is a great player though!

I went Panasonic after debating this same senerio. Whilst LG has a much better OS and apps built into the TV, the Panasonic had a superior PQ. For me PQ wins all and I use separate streaming media boxes rather than the TVs built in affairs.
LG is a clear winner with its onboard functions (webOS I love) but the Panny imo has a much better picture (likely just the software picture processing Panasonic has) . You can't go wrong with either. I'd like the LG OS and the Panasonic image quantity in a ideal world.

agree this is already well documented on this forum and the web, panasonic oled >> LG

panasonic(&sony) maybe getting the cream binned off of the production too, from LG; there's a video on the exclusive way pansonic pre-set their panels to minimise irregularities across the screen. .... BUT Pan's are more expensive too.

One thing that redresses the balance a bit might be the Calman calibration mechanism on the C9's, I would like to know if Pan has look up tables of the same size as the C9 too.

Reading reciew Panasonic better pq, scaling and motion, LG have latest hdmi spec and 4k at 120hz, better TV front end and apps.

Since won't be gaming and don't need 4k 120hz may go for the z950 65" also with same make bd it'll have better Comms between the two units I guess

I have an LG B6 but may go Panasonic next year, depends on the specs and reviews, I'm sure the panny will have hdmi 2.1 by then.

It's crazy to think we are only a few months away from 2020, and before we know it we will have news on 2020 sets.

also I found out with home internet just wasting time rather than doing something else.
I can fully agree with this

Think I waste most my free time just looking at crap & reading about crap on the internet :(
I also think the internet makes me spend loads of money on stuff I really don't need :o:o:o
