LG W2363D info/advice

I was looking at getting this monitor and discovered the 20 increase on yesterday ok back to the info i need.

Will i be able to run the monitor on a nvidia 7900gt or an 8800gt? as I was informed about a dual dvi issue so a little confused.

What i want is to run cs with vsync on and achieve 120fps which in theory would happen.

The "dual DVI" issue isn't an issue at all. It refers to dual-link DVI, which doesn't mean you need two DVI ports on your GPU. It just means you need a dual-link cable, which the monitor comes supplied with. The dual-link cable is necessary for 120hz functionality.

If you want to run CS 1.6 or even Source at 120hz, make sure your PC can run the game/s at 120FPS. Even still, with thru-mode enabled your input lag is significantly reduced. Honestly, an 8800GTX is more than enough to run either of those games at least above 100FPS, plus you can turn off V-sync and have a more lag free experience.

I currently own the monitor in question, it's no plasma in terms of IQ but it's responsiveness and fluidity in gaming is the best you'll get in 23" monitor.

well I've gone and bought it, wish i did it last night when it was £159 but sadly got it elsewhere. My first purchase of a monitor not from ocuk, 20 quid increase over night was a bit steep for me
