Had this monitor for a few weeks now and I've had a constant issue with it being bright at the bottom and dark at the top. When viewing OCUK the top of the screen is very dark compared to the bottom.

The only way to view the with an almost even colour is to angle the screen so the top is closer to me than the bottom. My eye level is only slightly lower the the top of the screen.

Its running through DVI. Is there anything I can do to solve this? If I'm honest I really don't like the monitor. :(

whats not to like :O, you could try to configure the monitor using the suplyed program FORTE i think it is, then again if that doesnt work could be faulty backlight.

Have tried that too. I'm just about happy with the colour (just) but I can't do anything about the issue I have. I don't sit at an odd angle (high or low) to the monitor yet it seems like I have to near enough stand in order to have even colour lighting top to bottom.

Can you post a picture of it? I had bad backlight bleed at the top and bottom of my 226WT, sent it back and got a refund. The impression I got from what the retailer (non-OcUK) said is they've had a few bad batches of them.

Making the monitor display black shows white hazes nearly all the way across the bottom. Not quite so bad at the top and some on the left (as you look at it) the right seems fine. Playing C&C3 last night the FMV sequences showed it up quite badly.

Have requested a refund.

EDIT - theres a pic of a Samsung 226BW on page 45 of the owners thread showing backlight bleed. My LG is much worse than that.
