Recently just bought an LG 27GL850 2 days ago and yesterday all was grand until today my white VGA debug light stays on the whole time after booting. (Very annoying as my PC is on my desk and I can literally see it in the corner of my eye) It also isnt allowing me to access the BIOS from boot or through windows. I have identified this as the monitor as I plugged in my old one using the old DVI cable I was using originally with this. No lights, no issues accessing BIOS either. LG is using Display port 1.4.

Kinda bummed honestly cause I absolutely love the monitor, makes my old zowie 24 inch 1080p one look like crap... Anyone else had issues like this before? Is this a simple settings issue or will i have to return it?

So update on this, ran this past my uncle to see if he had a spare cable and he pointed me to nvidia firmware update tool. I still have a GTX 1080 at the moment and there is an update available for these to run display port 1.3 and 1.4. Installed the driver and hey presto, everything is fixed. Assuming it was locked to Display port 1.2 beforehand which was causing all the problems.
