I've got a work mate whose pc has an aging LGA 775 Pentium chip.
I've got the system with me and the motherboard is: PC Chips P23G v3.0.
Now will this motherboard support a Core 2 Quad Q8400?
I can't find any information on quad core support. Not sure if it's not supported at all or the board was EOL before quads hit the market and therefore the product webpage wasn't updated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'd replace the board and chip as its more hassle or even trawling a scumtree for a full quad system, they can be had for next to nowt

Ordered a E6600 for a tenner delivered. That's one of the best chip on the compatability list so there shouldn't be any issues.
While an E8400 would have been good, the potential headache if it doesn't work makes it not worth the risk.
