After that you generally have the 6core/12 variants like the E5 1650 v2, which is basically the same as the i7 4930K. You also have the year older E5 1650 V1 (i7-3930K). Plus there are slightly higher clocked SKU variants in both years like the i7-4960X or i7-3970X labelled as extreme editions.

Sensible choice, for that kind of money you can't go wrong. That should overclock to ~4.5Ghz+ if you are so inclined.
