Could I do better than this for the same price (or maybe a little bit more)?

I'll be installing the apex ultra + w/c system along with the BFG GTS so space is kinda handy..........

You could do with a 1000PLUSII, that can fit a 8800gts as well.
If you really need the space then go for it, 12 HD bays are a bit overkill I think .
I think I read somewhere that even a PC7 can fit a 8800gts but you'd have to ask around.

....ok - let me rephrase.. best case for :- budget not really an issue, for a watercooled system, 8800 GTS, with two hard drives?

if memory serves the 8800GTS doesnt even overlap the mobo edge, its only the GTX that is larger than the mobo.

thus virtually EVERY case fits the GTS if it fits an ATX mobo.

PC-7+ will fit a GTX though.

i have not got one, but loads recommended it to me

i am after the v1000plusII, but that is because i am limited to a midi tower

people say the only down side to the eclipse is the ugly plastic front, but some people dont even find this an issue

the rest of the case, they say is top notch

V2000B is a superb case. If you got one you wouldn't be dissapointed. other ones to look at though;
