Finaly gotten on with some of it. Took it to the powder coaters today, should get it back end of the week. Haven't a name for it ether.

Plan is to have it totaly silent and really minimal inside. Rad is external under the desk and is a HW Labs 560GTX (8 140mm fans). Everything but RAM is water cooled.

Mods done...

Window cut
Shortened drive bays as low as possible
Shortened motherbord tray inline with mobo
Braided front pannel cables
Braided and then plated mains cable (audiophile in me coming out)
Powdercoated matt black
Moved USB from top to the front (might run both)

Left to sort out is pass through for the water cooling hose, pump mounting and decoupling, sleaving power cables (might cheat and buy some) and to decied wether or not to add any fans.

Tools used, hack saw, angle grinder, marker pen, squzze clamp, 3mm drill bit, drill

Just a bunch of images not everything shown will update

Got my case back today from the coaters. Took a bit longer but for £20 i can't argue. I'd stripped the case to nothing, there was 17 parts i had done in total all in matt black.

I've just been tapping the holes i will be using back out.

Need to decied if i'm going to rivert it back together and if so silver or black rivets or bolt it togther with M4 button head's

I think black rivets will give it a cleaner look.

what rad or rads you using?

Black would be more hiden but bolts are tempting in a nice stainless touch. Hardware Labs Black Ice® GT Xtreme 560mm using 8 Yate Loons with custom 30mm thick shrouds all run @ 5v for silent op. It's on a Mudgey stand under the desk.

Trying to looking into a circuit that will start up @ 12v for say 20/30 seconds then drop down to 5v as would love an automatic control as such.

Still unsure on how to put this back together. I found some M4x5 button head stainless bolts which would look nice. Use some rivet bush hank nuts to bolt it togther.

Finaly got my pumps on the way so i can then sort out the decoupling and cooling of them.

Going to finish the power cable off today, just a case of strip, heat shrink, solder.

They only problem is the case feet. I've some MNPC tech cnc but the holes in the case are huge. Trying to get them all to line up neatly is not easy and i might have to get creative in some spacer or rubber item in there.

Also need to move the micro res to the side as in my haist i didn't check it clearing the USB ports and it's clashes. Im now going for a dual top so cleaner lines work with it being moved over.

I think i'd found where i'm going to mount my SSD, hiden out the way giving more space and cleaner lines but if you look for it you can see it.
