Okay, not strictly a case discussion, but it's from a case manufacturer. Were these ever made available in the UK? I cannot find them anywhere. They are what I am looking for in a new desk and I want to see how much they are (although they are probably sodding expensive). Anyone know?

If I had 3 grand to blow on a desk, I wouldn't get that one tbh. I'd probably make my own out of slate. When we got out new fireplace, I saw some gorgeous black slate in the warehouse. I'd make a really minimalist desk, and polish the slate where the keyboard, mouse and monitor would stand. 
I believe it can be imported from Taiwan for rather less than £3000. But it would still be £1500 if my conversion calculator is correct. Local price is about £1000 - shipping and taxes make up the rest. And then you have to get it from the port of entry to your home. As Royal mail charge almost £20 to ship a case next day, you can see where the other £1500 is going!
They look nothing special for the money, you could get a custom one made for a fraction of the cost that would suit your room much better.
