I was looking at getting a Lian Li card reader and found 2 different models. There is the CR-31 12in1 and also there is CR-33 50in1. I'm specifically looking for a card reader that can read xD cards. The CR-31 even though it's only 12in1 can read xD but the CR-33 which is suppose to be 50in1 (didn't even know there were so many cards) cannot read them. I've checked on Lian Li website and there is only the CR-33 model, have they stopped producing CR-31? Can someone confirm that the CR-31 can read xD cards?

I'm pretty certain it doesn't. If you get a xd-card to MMC or SmartMedia adapter, pretty much any card reader will then take it.

If you want to match the Lian-li front bezel then the Mitsumi FA 404M that OcUK sell has all the ports (and the floppy) exposed behind the standard Lian-Li floppy bezel cover. And it's a lot cheaper than the Lian-li card reader too.

One more question on how do I connect this to my A8N32 mobo. In this picture it shows that the drive has a 4-pin internal USB connector while on my mobo there are 2x 10-1 USB connectors. Will this fit somehow?

Yes, you will note that there are actually 9 pins - two rows. Only 4 pins in each row are used. The 9th pin is a spare - a key pin to stop you connecting the header the wrong way round. If you put the black cable on the 4th/8th pin of either row of the connector you will have a USB connection.

I received and fitted the Mitsumi floppy+card reader to day and it's looking mighty fine. To read the xD cards I got this USB pen reader for just a few £. No more card reader on my desk :)
